The elderflower liqueur provides an almost elusive floral touch to this drink. It’s why we recommend a dry gin, not one with lots of botanical essences. As with any martini style cocktail, this should be served very cold.
Alpini
1 1/2 ounces dry gin
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/4 ounce elderflower liqueur
Pour all ingredients in an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir gently for 20 seconds to combine and chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Tasting notes: Flavorful, slightly tangy gin martini softened by delicate liqueur.
