While this quick egg nog mix calls for whole milk, you could hold the fat down by using non-fat, 1 percent, or 2 percent. Since life is all about options, if you want, use half and half. Want to take it up a notch? Use cognac instead of brandy. Bring out the blender and make this drink smooth and creamy.
2 ounces brandy
1/2 ounce triple sec
6 ounces milk
2 ice cubes
Place all the ingredients in a blender. Process for 30 seconds on low. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a collins glass or goblet. Garnish with a light dusting of ground nutmeg.
Tasting notes: Light, pleasant nog with frothy taste of milk and spirit.
