We’re going mile-high with this locally-sourced whiskey-based celebration for the Super Bowl bound Denver Bronocs. There’s greenery in the drink to acknowledge Colorado’s recent legalization of marijuana. While this might tempt some, we recommend sticking with the suggested dill. A good bourbon can be used if Tin Cup whiskey can’t be found.
Rocky Mtn Hi
2 ounces Tin Cup whiskey
Ginger ale
2 juniper berries
2 sprigs of fresh dill
2 dashes Fee Bros. Orange Bitters
Muddle the juniper, 1 sprig of dill, and bitters in a mixing glass, making sure to crush the juniper berries. Add ice and and whiskey. Stir until chilled and strain into an ice-filled collins glass. Top with ginger ale, garnish with a dill sprig. Game on!
Tasting notes: Light and refreshing, excellent flavor combinations.
Tomorrow: Are you better?
