Here’s Saturday’s short shopping list for the Tailgate: Chipotle hot sauce, rye and good beer. Oh, and the beef for burgers, some buns, fixin’s and chips. And, if you’re really going to a tailgate in New Jersey, warm clothing.


Friday, Sneak Preview

Friday’s Casino is a tangy mix, so get some oranges and limes for juicing. Gin, maraschino liqueur, and orange bitters are also involved in this nod the sin of wagering rumored to surround major sports events.


Thursday, Sneak Preview

Head to the spice aisle for some dried juniper berries and grab some fresh dill for Thuesday’s Rocky Mtn Hi, a tribute to the Broncos. The recipe calls for a Denver distilled whiskey but a light bourbon or Canadian style whiskey will do.


Wednesday, Sneak Preview

To appropriately celebrate the Seahawks’ appearance in the Super Bowl, get some sparkling wine and a dark stout to chill ahead. Rummage around for a tall beer glass in which to make the Pacific Velvet.


Tuesday, Sneak Preview

Hackensack, our nod to New Jersey’s status as Super Bowl co-host, needs a reminder: Get a package of blueberries for the distinctive garnish. And make sure you have vodka, triple sec, and limes.


Monday, Sneak Preview
