Celebration Punch, Mother’s Day cocktail

Happy Mother’s Day. We offer a light, sparkling wine punch for the celebration. Please note: you should make the special ice first thing in the morning, though you can use regular ice cubes. There is a non-alcoholic version of the punch below.

1 cup orange juice
1 cup water
1 bottle chilled Champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup pureed strawberries
6 thinly sliced strawberries

To make the special ice cube, mix the orange juice and water in a plastic or metal bowl and freeze until solid. To make the punch, un-mold the orange ice into a punch bowl and pour in sparkling wine, strawberry puree, and pineapple juice. Stir to combine. Garnish with sliced strawberries.

Mocktail version: Substitute equal parts of ginger ale and soda water for the sparkling wine.
