This is a 2-for-1 drink. We get ready for the Cinco de Mayo celebrations tomorrow and add an antioxidant to the lexicon of tequila cocktails. To provide a deep herbal taste, you’ll need fresh cilantro. Save the leftover cilantro to top tomorrow’s guacamole.
Cuatro de Cinco
2 ounces tequila
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Orange Curacao or triple sec
10-12 cilantro leaves
A few grains of salt
Muddle the lemon juice, Curacao, cilantro, and salt in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add ice and tequila and shake vigorously to combine and chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Run a lemon twist around the rim of the glass and float a sprig of cilantro as a garnish.
