The English translation of this cocktail is mockingbird, but it sounds better in Spanish — and may even taste better. The creme de menthe and lime give the tequila a little kick in this Mexican version of a highball.
Sinsonte
1 1/2 ounce tequila
1/4 ounce green creme de menthe
Half a lime
Chilled soda
Pour tequila and creme de menthe into an ice-filled small highball glass. Squeeze the lime over the ice. Stir and top with soda. Garnish with a lime slice.
Tasting notes: Refreshing and eminently quaffable. Bright green color reminds you to expect the mint flavor.
