With Atlantic City just down the coast from MetLife Stadium, there is no suggestion here that you bet on the outcome of this week’s Super Bowl. Heaven and fantasy league forbid! But if you have put your child’s college fund at risk, here’s something with gin and the almond flavor of maraschino to calm you.

Casino
2 ounces gin
1 ounce fresh orange juice
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
Dash of maraschino liqueur
Dash of orange bitters

Pour all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until frosty. Pour into a chilled martini or cocktail glass. An orange twist makes a nice garnish.

Tasting notes: Nice interaction between gin, almond liqueur, sweet, bitter, and citrus tang.
