Petit Fleur, a tangy aperitif

Here’s a tangy and refreshing aperitif built around white rum that will spark your dinner appetite. Stay away from dark versions of rum for this drink; however, you can substitute orange-flavored triple sec or Orange Curacao for the Cointreau.

Petit Fleur Petit Fleur pour crop
1 ounce light rum (light or white rum)
1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
1 ounce grapefruit juice

Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with lots of ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a broad grapefruit peel twist. Enjoy!

Tasting notes: Light, refreshing, lovely balance of tangy and smooth flavors.

Tomorrow: You little devil
