The stretch of spirits-driven winter holidays are almost over. Time to rescue a half-consumed bottle of dry Rosé in the back of the fridge. This light cocktail marries the wine and vermouth with a touch of black currant liquor and a tangy hint of citrus. Our large, ice-filled drink pairs well with sitting and reclining. Relax in front of the fire and let this one go down easy.
No Way Rose
4 ounces Dry Rosé wine
1 ounce sweet vermouth
1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 ounce Creme de Cassis (black currant liquor)
Pour all the ingredients, one at a time, into a large wine glass filled with ice cubes. Stir to combine and chill. Garnish with an orange slice.
Tomorrow: On the side.
