Here’s something for first time viewers of the World Cup soccer matches. A yellow card is held up by the referee when a player is cautioned for breaking the rules. The ref writes the player’s name and number in a small notebook. Well, ref, we don’t know if we should be cautioned, but you’re free to write this in the notebook:
Yellow Card
1 1/2 ounce pisco
1/2 ounce Galliano
1/4 ounce lemon juice
Orange bitters
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with several ice cubes. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with a dash of orange bitters. Garnish with a lemon peel.
World Cup television schedules: ABC and ESPN will broadcast in English and Univision will broadcast in Spanish.
Tasting notes: Tart, sharp flavors of pisco, smoothed and balanced by the Galliano.
Tomorrow: Uh oh
