There are more ways to make a Gimlet than this recipe. Probably the only thing really true about this classic is that everybody seems to vary the proportions, the spirit (vodka for gin), and the amount of lime juice. Our offering is basic and should be viewed as a starting point for a classic sharp, tart tipple.
1 1/2 ounces gin
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with several ice cubes. Stir for 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
Tasting notes: Simple, strong, good. For lovers of gin and lime.
