In Spanish fresa means strawberry. This fruit-laden tall cocktail is an adaptation from a list of drinks on the container of bottle of Capel Pisco. A spirit distilled from grapes, pisco belongs in the brandy family and pairs well with tangy citrus and sweeter fruit.
2 ounces pisco
1 ounce pineappple juioce
1/2 ounce lemon juice
2 sliced strawberries
Chilled soda water
Set aside 3 or 4 strawberry slices. Muddle remaining strawberry, pineapple and lemon juice in a collins or highball glass. Add pisco and stir. Add several ice cubes, soda and strawberry slices. Stir.
Tasting notes: Gorgeous brunch drink, delicious as an all-day companion. Fresh strawberries infuse every delightful sip.
