For Super Bowl Sunday we fashioned a punch called Touchdown using bourbon and New Jersey-made Laird’s Applejack. The light Applejack spirit made it a popular cocktail and we’ve decided to feature it again in this version of a sour.
2 ounces applejack
2 ounces lemon juice
1 teaspoon simple syrup
Put all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a lowball or old-fashioned glass half filled with cracked ice. Garnish with an apple slice.
Tasting notes: Bright and refreshing, like a nuanced fresh lemonade you could drink all day.
