26 Cents, presidential cocktail

Today is U.S. Presidents Day, a consolidated holiday celebrating the birthdays of George Washington, whose likeness appearance on the quarter, and Abraham Lincoln, who is on the penny. This martini derivative is named for their combined coinage value.

26 Cents 26 cent vert
1 1/2 ounces gin
1/4 ounce triple sec
2 dashes orange bitters
2 drops green or white creme de menthe

Put all the ingredients into an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir evenly for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange or grapefruit slice.
