There are a variety of similarly named cocktails out there, many using mixtures of vodka and coconut. This is not one of them; this is a laid-back version. Wile E. Coyote, for those who remember the cartoon character, would probably order the ingredients from Acme Corporation.

Road Runner
2 ounces of gin
1/2 ounce dry vermouth
1/2 ounce pastis
1 teaspoon grenadine

Pour ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled wine glass. Beep, beep.

Tasting notes: Blending of pastis with grenadine adds a flavor profile to the Martini-ish base of gin and dry vermouth.
