Aviation week continues with the Layover.
When your flight is cancelled, what’s a traveler to do? We suggest finding a tavern where they have these ingredients and a bar bender willing to mix them for you. Oh, and grab some dark chocolate at the airpot to drop in the drink after it’s prepared. This recipe serves 2.
Lay-over
3 ounces rye (bourbon will do in these circumstance)
1 ounce Kahlua
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
2 pieces of dark chocolate.
Shake the whiskey, Kahlua and bitters with ice. Pour into a chilled cocktail glasses. Drop a nib of dark chocolate in each drink, and enjoy the chocolate with the final sip. Not the worse wait for a flight.
